BRIAN CHANEY, SPANISH
Q: Where did you come from before you became a Bluejay?
A: “I taught in Blue Springs at the Blue Springs High School Freshman Center.”
Q: Why did you join Raytown High School to be a Bluejay?
A: “I have really loved this district and growing up here, and I have a lot of friends that went to Raytown.”

STUART HOY, HISTORY
Q: Where did you come from before you became a Bluejay?
A: “I was a sales representative for a frozen food company for 10 years and I left to come here.”
Q: Why did you join Raytown High School to be a Bluejay?
A: “I just became a teacher and I needed a job. I was going to go anywhere I can and Raytown chose me.”

JAY MCCUNE, SCIENCE
Q: Where did you come from before you became a Bluejay?
A: "I was at Park University and I was teaching biology in Oak Park.”
Q: Why did you join Raytown High School to be a Bluejay?
A: “I felt like science would be a fun thing to teach. I have connections here in Raytown and I’m Felica Taylor’s nephew.”

BRETT NELSON, MATH
Q: Where did you come from before you became a Bluejay?
A: "I was at UMKC last year. This is my first year teaching and I was being a TA to other schools.”
Q: Why did you join Raytown High School to be a Bluejay?
A: “Last year, I was placed here to be in practicum from UMKC. I spent one week here and I really enjoyed my time here, and I was really excited to work here.”

DALE RUCKER, CREDIT RECOVERY
Q: Where did you come from before you became a Bluejay?
A: “I was at Central High School.”
Q: Why did you join Raytown High School to be a Bluejay?
A: “I was informed about the position from Coach Strickland, and he was asking me about baseball because I coach baseball and taught gym.”

TYLER UPTEGROVE, ENGLISH
Q: Where did you come from before you became a Bluejay?
A: “I worked in Lafayette High School for few years.”
Q: Why did you join Raytown High School to be a Bluejay?
A: “My wife got hired here first and she loves it here, and I thought I might as well work here too.”
